It just came out of the oven. I wouldn't suggest to eat that cat, for some digestive reasons, but you can easily pin it on your coat, jacket or sweater.

wer sie ist und was sie da macht, keine ahnung. aber sie will da bleiben. und wehe dem, der ihr zu nahe kommt. einmal pro woche überwinde ich mich und nehm sie aus dem topf, damit sie beim pflanzengiessen kein feuchtes höschen bekommt.

mein 7 jähriger neffe war zu besuch und dabei ist dieses wunderbare stück wald entstanden.
idee und realisation: noah. assistenz: desertöse. verpflegung: kühlschrank. hintergrundmusik: the beatles. sich am erholen: philipp.

this wonderful piece of forest was realised by my 7 year old nephew. it was all his idea. I just assisted him with some scissors and a pen.
at this point we want to thank philipp for taking a rest and letting us do this beautiful piece of 3-D-collage, fridgy fridge for donating some cool drinks, the beatles for being our background music, spongebob for entertaining us during our break and last but not least my indispensable drawer full of paper, wood, pens, glue, felt etc.

art basel 2009

wir haben unseren freien samstag dazu genutzt, die art basel zu besuchen. ich wollte cindy&bert mitnehmen, aber bert hatte im "garten" zu tun und cindy hatte einen ihrer "tage". sie wollte im bett bleiben und ein wenig an die decke starren (vielleicht sollte ich ihr endlich was zum anziehen machen...). also fragten wir macho libre und der war sofort dabei.

we decided to spent our saturday at the art basel. I wanted to take cindy&bert with me, but bert had to do some work in the "garden" and cindy had one of her "days". She prefered to stay in bed and to stare at the ceiling (perhaps I really should make her some new clothes, finally). so we asked macho libre and he was excited by our proposal.

wir verbrachten die einstündige zugfahrt lesend, während sich macho libre seinem training widmete.

we went to basel by train and had enough time to read and take pictures. meanwhile macho libre was doing his thing, I think he calls it workout...

nach einem ungesunden mittagessen und einem halben liter süssgetränk war ich bereit, mir während mehrerer stunden kunst anzusehen. und es gab viel zu sehen. vor allem neues und unbekanntes.

after an unhealthy lunch we were ready to enjoy hundreds and hundreds of pieces of art.

origami olé

als ich vor einem monat in paris war, hab ich nicht nur viel kunterbunten ramsch entdeckt, sondern auch origami. etliche schaufenster waren mit gefalteten kranichen, windräder und blumen dekoriert. so schön, dass ich mir gleich ein buch mit anleitungen kaufen musste. wunderbar gestaltet und auf französisch. und da mir der kranich noch nicht gelingen will, hab ich mich auf kuben spezialisiert. und ich krieg nicht genug davon.

I have a new hobby. origami. I'm still practising but already tried different stuff. cubes, swans, bunnys etc. and as I'm failing in doing animals, I keep doing cubes over and over again and I'm loving it! (no, macdo does not pay me for saying that!). now cubes are everywhere. on presents, in the fruit bowl, in the bird cage, hanging from the ceiling... more pictures to come. I promise!

diese zwei netten geschöpfe, nennen wir sie cindy & bert, hab ich kürzlich auf dem flohmarkt gefunden. hab sie gesehen und gleich gekauft. mein glück, dass die dame vom stand grad am einpacken war, 3 läppische franken wollte sie dafür. jetzt sind sie in meiner obhut und werden wundersames erleben. aber bitte nicht in diesem aufzug!

I found these two wonderful puppets at a flea market in zurich. I fell in love with their faces at first sight, but I'm not quite sure about their outfits... ok, she looks fine, but he... as they're going to experience a lot of adventures under my direction (HAR HAR HAR, I can smell the scent of power!) they have to change. by the way, I named them cindy & bert.

leider hatte ich bis anhin noch keine zeit, ihnen was adäquates zu schneidern, zu kleben, oder so. darum harren sie nun der dinge (kleider), die da kommen mögen. nackt, aber geschmackvoll.

unfortunately I didn't find the time yet to make them some new outfits. but as I had the time to tear the old clothes away, they have to wait in tasteful nudity for the things (styles) to come.

beim aufräumen meines bildarchivs bin ich auf dieses wunderbare werk gestossen. es ist vor ca. 6 jahren entstanden und treibt mir heute tränen in die augen. tränen der scham.
welch komposition! welch farbgebung! und vor allem beachte man den hintergrund - monet... und je länger ich es anschaue, desto mehr krieg ich angst. vergesst alfreds "die vögel", fürchtet euch vor DEM SCHMETTERLING!

I have quiet a few skeletons in my pictures archive, but I think this one makes me cry the most. what colors! what an arrangement! and please note the monet background... arghhh!
and the longer I look at it, the more it scares the hell out of me. do a remake of alfreds "the birds" and name it "the butterfly".

ha ha! dafür liebe ich dieses bild umso mehr. unser budi. vermissen dich.

but I do love this one! ha ha! R.I.P. budi. we miss you.

blumen - flowers

hab gestern den französischen knopf geübt und dabei sind neue broschenkreationen entstanden: blumen und pollen. hatschii! der durchmesser beträgt ca. 6cm.
(übrigens, der französische knoten ist aus dem bereich der stickkunst und hat nix mit yoga, sex, oder so zu tun.)

I practised the french knot lately and created en passant new felt brooches: flowers and pollen. the diameter is about 6cm.
(the french knot is, by the way, an embroidery stitch and has nothing to do with yoga or sex.)

hier noch der zweite teil meiner pariser beute. wobei die blaue lucha-libre-figur der stimme aus richtung des sofas gehört. und ja, wie es der zufall so wollte, standen wir plötzlich in einer h&m filiale und ich hatte diesen tollen gürtel von matthew williamson erst in der hand, dann in der tasche. dazwischen wurde er natürlich bezahlt. bin ja keine diebin. krise hin oder her.

here the second part of my paris treasures. and yes, you're right, that is the matthew williamson belt. it happened, that we found ourselves in a h&m store and one thing led to another and I walked out with this beautiful belt. for men. but who cares, I'm 31 and still buying bags with cowboys on it.

hier meine errungenschaften der letzten drei tage. möglichst farbig und unnütz, so gefällt es mir. die holzstempel, der herzanhänger und die grüne bordüre habe ich von rosarosenbaum auf dawanda. der rest kommt directement de paris. tralala!

wer passt denn nur auf meine katzen auf, wenn ich die nächsten drei tage, ferienbedingt, in paris bin? sie sind äusserst pflegeleicht und brauchen weder essen noch katzenklo. sie hängen gerne rum, am liebsten in ohrnähe.

due to a holiday trip I will stay in paris the next three days. and who's going to keep an eye on my cats now? they are really easy to handle. no food and no poo. they just like to hang around, near some ear. poetic.
